IRS Tax Changes in Response to Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Posted by John Inhulsen | Mar 17, 2020

The U.S. government has announced it will extend the individual and business April 15, 2020 tax-payment deadline by an additional 90 days.  As of now, filers must still abide by the April 15, 2020 deadline, but will not be required to pay during the 90 day extension, interest and penalty free.

According to Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin the delay is available to people who owe $1 million or less and corporations that owe $10 million or less.
